About this yatra
High in the Lidder valley of Kashmir, at 3,888 metres, a lingam of ice forms every year inside the Amarnath cave. Devotees call him Baba Barfani. Lakhs of yatris walk here every summer, chanting "Bam Bam Bhole", for a darshan that lasts only a few seconds and stays for a lifetime.
The yatra opens only for about six to eight weeks, and every yatri must register in advance with a Compulsory Health Certificate. We take care of the paperwork, choose the right route for your fitness — the short, steep Baltal route or the longer, traditional Pahalgam route — and book helicopter seats where available.

Questions about Amarnath Yatra
When does the Amarnath Yatra happen?
Usually from early July to Raksha Bandhan (Shravan Purnima) in August. Exact dates are announced each year by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.
Which route is better — Baltal or Pahalgam?
Baltal is about 14 km one way and steep, and can be done in a day. Pahalgam is about 46–48 km, more gradual and scenic, and takes 3–4 days. We suggest the route based on your fitness and time.
Is registration compulsory?
Yes. Every yatri must register in advance and carry a Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor, plus an RFID card issued for the yatra.
Can senior citizens do the Amarnath Yatra?
The Shrine Board sets age limits each year. Healthy elders within the limit can do it with a helicopter and pony or palki, but the altitude needs a doctor's clearance.
