Questions about Sikkim & Darjeeling

Are permits required for Sikkim?

Indian citizens need permits for North Sikkim, Tsomgo Lake and Nathula. We apply for all of them with your ID.

Lachung is at about 2,700 m and Zero Point at about 4,700 m. Healthy elders manage well with slow pacing; we advise those with heart or lung issues to skip Zero Point.
